Thanks to the agreement signed between the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Fuerteventrura and the technological park of Fuerteventura, the studies of professional training in technological areas that are conform to the CIFP Majada Marcial, will be taught in the technological park of Fuerteventura

 

The Minister of Education and Universities of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ms. Soledad Monzón, the president of the Insular Cabildo of Fuerteventura, D. Marcial Morales, and the manager of the temporary union of Companies Parque Tecnologico de Fuerteventura, S.A.-Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias, S.A., PTF-ITC, UTE, D. José Domingo Fernández, They signed this morning an agreement that aims to launch and develop in an experimental way, vocational training in technological areas, within the park.

In particular, the lessons to be transferred to the site are those currently being taught at the Integrated Vocational Training Centre, which may be lodged, as the content of the Convention is developed, in the building for the promotion of knowledge and Technology transfer Technological park.

The choice of this particular space obeys, according to the education councillor of the Canary Islands Government “to the permanent search of the best means for the knowledge and the grow of the Canary Islands and for its citizens to have their real reflection in the society”. The counsellor has set as one of its priority objectives the development of a FP much more linked to the productive fabric, in which the exchange of knowledge and resources between the schools and the companies or collaborating entities is continuous.

For the President of the Council “This agreement will allow the education of higher degree of energy and water-renewable energies of the Majada Marcial Institute to be transferred to the technological park. This agreement opens the technological park to the formation and we are in contact with the University of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria to contribute to that Fuerteventura has other university studies in engineering of renewable energies in the technological park.

According to the director of PTFSA and manager of IPTF-ITC, UTE “We are facing a great day with the incorporation of training cycles of technical branches. It is important for the students, for the contact with companies, and for the companies“.

The Convention shall be valid for a period of four years, which shall be extended indefinitely for two-year periods, unless one of the parties requests its resolution, provided that it is at least 3 months in advance of the intended completion date.
